Logic in Society 4, 5, and 6 (please specify which assignment you are turning in in the subject line of your e-mail)
- Find any or any short (no more than a paragraph) published piece containing a fallacious argument, from any source, and write the argument in standard form. Please refer to your notes and reading to clarify what is meant by “standard form.” I will expect that you follow the directions for writing arguments in standard form as discussed in class.
- Indicate the fallacy contained in the argument. Explain a.) how the fallacy is exemplified in the piece, b.) the effect the fallacy has on the conclusion, and c.) how you can fix the argument so that it no longer contains a fallacy.
Make sure you include the source when you turn in your assignment.
